The “More Than Once” Book Reading List.
The books, and their insights, wisdoms and actions that
you happily read ‘more than once.’

These are the books that I have read more than once.
Why?
Because the wisdom and knowledge in these books is something that (I believe) I need to go back to more than once.
I used to care about “how many books I’ve read” in a week, month or year.
The finishing of one book, only meant the opening of another.
Reading for the sake of reading is not very useful.
As two questions I pose to any knowledge or information that comes to me is…
Is it true?
And
Is it useful?
If it’s a yes to both. Then it’s something well worth my time to learn deeply, and apply into my life.
And that means that I need to come back to it again and again.
I’m not the smartest dude, and I can’t read through a book, and then have all its knowledge downloaded into my brain… and then even more importantly
then act in all of life’s circumstances using that knowledge.
As each time I come back to a book. I myself am a different person. And therefore my
perceptions and what I take from the book grow and evolve.
To lean on someone much smarter, Seneca said:
“Be careful, however, lest this reading of many authors and books of every sort may tend to make you discursive and unsteady. You must linger among
a limited number of master-thinkers, and digest their works, if you would derive ideas which shall win firm hold in your mind.
Everywhere means nowhere…
…And in reading of many books is distraction.”
I don’t read for the sake of reading.
I don’t meditate for the sake of meditating.
I don’t workout for the sake of working out.
I do all of it, as the main reason is, it’s makes me a better person.
I show up as better person, for myself, my family and my community.
Importantly the books that I gravitate too are in a nutshell to help me “live a good life”.
The topics will range from self development,
business, philosophy, spirituality, finance, and many more.
All with the focus of giving me the skill set and practical, skin-in-the-game know how that
makes me a fulfilled and useful person to the world.
Now before we get started, don’t think that I do the book reviews and share the “more than
once” book club because I have a pure heart.
I do it for selfish reasons.
I know that learning, sharing and teaching is a virtuous cycle for me. I learn more as I
teach.
So here we go.
I share with you my insights and learnings here as it makes me better.
With the hopes that you have a shortcut.
Avoiding an endless waste of time, energy and money on consuming information that doesn’t
give you what you want.
Instead. Here you’ll have a map.
You have a map, that gives you a more direct route to creating the changes and therefore the
life you love.
Scroll down to go through the reading list, the order is in no special order.
(And please let me know how you go with the books, what you enjoy, and what you learn, as I
love to geek out on this stuff)
